LODBRS Points FundThe Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series has announced a points fund of more than $170,000 for the 2018 season.

Corona, CA (August 8, 2018) – The Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series has unveiled a points fund of more than $170,000 for the 2018 season, Interim Series Director Dan Robinson has announced.

"We're looking forward to a strong second half of the 2018 Lucas Oil Drag Boat Series and working hard on more partnerships and sponsorships that will strengthen the points fund even more in the future," Robinson said.

The Championship Banquet will be held at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Jan. 19, 2019. Additional details will be released at a later date.

PWC - Champion $630; Runner-up $315
River Racer - Champion $630; Runner-up $315
Stock Eliminator - Champion $900; Runner-up $540
Mod Eliminator - Champion $1,260; Runner-up $630

Pro Eliminator - Champion $1,260; Runner-up $630

Robinson said that the series will pay out a maximum of two positions in each of Divisions 1, 2 and 3 for 2018. The champions and runners-up will be determined and paid according to the provided schedule by highest points total in each class, with a minimum of 72-percent participation.

The Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series resumes Aug. 31-Sept. 2 with the 8th annual Diamond Drag Boat Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Remaining events are the Thunder on the River, Oct. 13-14 in Parker, Arizona, and the Lucas Oil World Finals, Nov. 2-4 in Chandler, Arizona.
