The event, which is the first of two high-stakes, made-for-TV competitions, features a three-day format with over 100-percent cash payout guaranteed.
Following a lengthy 20 year haitus, Lucas Oil is pleased and excited to announce plans for the staging of the 2013 Irvine Lake California Classic drag boat races on Irvine Lake in Silverado, California, located in Orange County. Scheduled for the weekend of May 3-5, 2013, the event will be slated as the first of a ten-race National series race, bringing the top race teams in the country to Irvine.

CORONA, Calif. (Feb. 19, 2013) -Toyota has renewed its agreement with Team Lucas to be the presenting sponsor of the CBS Sports Spectacular for 12 one-hour network television broadcasts and have the Toyota Tundra as the Official Truck of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series for the 2013 season.
Lucas Oil is pleased and excited to announce the expansion of its marketing sponsorship with Speedco Truck Lube and Tires to the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series in 2013. A long time partner with Lucas Oil Products, Speedco joined forces with the drag boat series in 2012 with a sponsorship of the Tequila Sunrise Top Fuel Hydro and will be combining that in 2013 with an additional $13,000 commitment in cash awards to be paid to the Triple Crown Of Racing winners in the Top Fuel Hydro, Top Alcohol Flatbottom, Pro Modified and Pro Eliminator classes.
